Hotel Hirtshals is uniquely located on the Port of Hirtshals overlooking the marina and the fishing port. Furthermore, the hotel is centrally placed within walking distance from Color Line’s terminal and in close vicinity of both Smyril Line’s and Fjord Line’s terminals. Only a few hundred meters away you find Hirtshals’s beautiful beach and if you want to go for just a little walk, Hirtshals Lighthouse with a wonderful view of the surrounding area is absolutely worth a visit. A pleasant walk to the famous North Sea Oceanarium only takes 10-12 minutes.
Hotel Hirtshals owns the famous Hirtshals Inn, established in 1769, which is next door to the hotel. The inn has for the last 250 years held many of the town’s large and small events and was also in the inter-war years home to the famous local artist Lars Nielsen, whose many drawings and caricatures still can be seen at Hirtshals Inn. The inn consists of a pub, open almost all year round, and a restaurant. The restaurant is open from Easter until winter and serves a wide selection of fish and meat dishes.
